Hologram boxes (transparent LCD / projection)
A hologram box is a display cabinet that shows a person, product or animation inside it. Depending on the model, it uses a transparent LCD screen in front of a lit space, or a projection system, to make the image look as if it is standing inside the box.
Many are close to life-size, so a presenter can appear to stand in the room. The Musion Holobox is one example.
It is not laser holography.
Hologram Hire is an independent enquiry-referral service - not a hire company. We pass your enquiry to a hire supplier who quotes, contracts and invoices you directly.
What they are good for
- A virtual presenter or speaker at an event
- Product reveals at launches
- Window and in-store displays
- Exhibition stands that need a person-sized focal point
Things to know before you enquire
- Space and access. Life-size units are large and heavy. Check doorway sizes, lifts and floor loading at your venue.
- Power. The box needs mains power. Tell the supplier where the nearest socket is.
- Content. People and products are usually filmed against a plain background in a set way for these boxes. Ask the supplier whether they can film or prepare content for you.
- Live or recorded. Some setups can show a live link. Ask the supplier what is possible.
- Indoor use. These units are normally used indoors.
