LED hologram-effect fans (spinning LED; not laser holography)
An LED hologram-effect fan is a spinning rotor with rows of LEDs on each blade. As the blades spin, the LEDs light in sequence and your eye sees a single image. Because the blades are hard to see at speed, the image appears to float.
It is not laser holography. It is a persistence-of-vision display.
Hologram Hire is an independent enquiry-referral service - not a hire company. We pass your enquiry to a hire supplier who quotes, contracts and invoices you directly.
What they are good for
- Logos, product shots and short looping animations
- Shop windows and counters
- Exhibition stands and reception areas
- Event entrances and stage edges
Things to know before you enquire
- Size. Single fans are compact. Several fans can be linked to make a larger image. Ask the supplier what sizes they offer.
- Viewing angle. The effect works when people look at it from the front. It is weaker from the side.
- Light. Bright ambient light reduces the effect. Indoor use is usual. Ask the supplier about outdoor or bright-window use.
- Safety. The blades spin at speed. Suppliers normally fit a guard or mount the unit out of reach. Ask the supplier how they handle this at your venue.
- Content. The fan needs content made for its format. A dark or black background usually looks the cleanest. Tell us whether you have content ready or need help.
- Sound. Fans make some noise when running. Ask the supplier if this matters for your space.
